Elizabeth's Travels 2017

Welcome to the site that showcases the places I have visited in 2017!

In January of 2017, my boyfriend, Paul, and I traveled to Tulum, Mexico and some of the surrounding areas. We visited ancient pyramids, cenotes, and beaches, and had a wonderful time getting some sun and warm weather. I even brushed up on some Spanish.

Later on, in March, I traveled to Kauai, Hawaii, to visit Paul for even more sun and warm weather. I don't think I could ever get enough of this, which makes me wonder why I live in Colorado if I need so much warm weather in the Winter!

In April, I visited my daughter, Annabelle, in Argentina. She spent 10 months there living with 2 families and going to school in a typical Argentine high school. The "Annabelle's Link" above is to her blog that she kept while she was living there.

Since April, I have visited several other places in the U.S.: Michigan, Arkansas, California, and New Mexico, as well as fun spots throughout Colorado.

In the "2018" section, I have included places I would like to travel to in 2018

Photoshop Art in Kauai, Hawaii

On the island of Kauai, I found many sources of inspiration, from the beaches, to the eucalyptus forests, to the myriad yoga classes offered in beautiful settings. I was able to combine all three here for a playful combo that brings me back to my time in Hawaii.

Street Art in Tulum, Mexico

One of my favorite things to do in new places is look for different examples of street art. Here, on the coast of Mexico in the town of Tulum, I was able to find a piece of art that combines the silly looking face on a cement pylon with the iconic view of a placid beach.

Street Art in Ushuaia, Argentina

Here, in the most southern tip of Argentina, I found many examples of street art, some with a political message, and some with a more typical array of social and artistic messages, as is seen here.
