2018

I have a wish list for 2018...

Paul has visited some incredible places, and now they are on my wish list for 2018. The pictures here are of some of his travels in Croatia and Bosnia. In Visoko, Bosnia a pyramid was discovered by Semir Osmanagic in 2005. The materials used to build the pyramid have been carbon-dated and shown to have been created around 40,000 years ago. There have actually been 5 pyramids discovered grouped together here in Visoko, the largest being taller than the largest pyramid in Giza, Egypt. I would love to travel to these pyramids and help with the excavation project.

I would also love to travel to Croatia and see the different national parks there. After seeing some of Paul's pictures, I was amazed and never knew there were such beautiful beaches and waterfalls there.

Another place I'd like to visit is the Damanhur temple in Italy, located between Turin and Aosta. The temple was excavated out of a mountain secretly, but was found out by the local authorities, and now it's open to the public. It looks like a magical place, with beautiful murals and sculptures around the interior.

Plitvice Lakes National Park

This exquisite walkway through trees and fresh water is located in Bosnia. The water is such an beautiful color of blue! It reminds me of the water up at Hanging Lake, the lake at the top of a hiking trail off of the 1-70 corridor.

Excavating the Bosnian Pyramid

Volunteers create a line, passing buckets of dirt out of the tunnels being excavated around the Bosnian Pyramid. Another line passes empty buckets back into the tunnels.

Mostar, Bosnia

The name of this beautiful bridge in Mostar is "Old Bridge". What a gorgeous old city! It makes me want to visit it in person. It's definitely on my list for 2018!
